Sublime Car - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Toyotafan_2004 - October 21 - 10:00 amJust owned the car for 2 weeks. Compared with ES330 and thought would buy ES but finally bought Solara SLE V6 with Nav. The ride feel is very much like ES but has no transmission issues reported by ES owners. Engine is the same as the ES. When comparing with Camry XLE V6, one can immediately tell the difference. XLE does not have the luxury ride feel as the SLE does. Plus SLE is a 2-year newer design with audio control buttons on the steering wheel, compared with ES and XLE.

my car I love it!!! - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By suzanne p - October 16 - 10:00 amI love this car. long trip, very comfortable, wish it had onstar on board but you cant have everything. Only things I have found negative with this car 1. you have a blind spot I have learned to figure it out but a little scarey at first. 2 this is minor but there is a cover for the front seat belt, floor behind the seat.I have had it replaced and again it has fell off and my back seat is not being used. If you push the front seat back it flys off.

Quality/Sporty Ride - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By SusanE. - September 20 - 2:00 amI purchased this car with several issues at hand, quallity, reliablity, comfort, and able to fit the "kids" in. But yet still have a sporty look. Well, this car far exceeds my wants and needs. For this single mom, this is a great pic. Hands down!!

5 Years 105,000 Miles - Still Love It - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Diana - August 22 - 10:43 pmEight cars to date, this is the first car Ive owned where I put more that 50,000 miles on it. This is my second Toyota. Hasnt had any problems, engine is still quiet and smooth, and parts still fit together like they were new. Mileage has gone down some, from 30 to 28 MPG - still excellent for me. Was not looking for a sport car, just a sporty look, so the performance (or lack thereof) isnt important to me. I never thought I would have a car this long, and I am in no hurry to buy another.

It was love at first sight - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Bigpow - July 3 - 10:00 amWe did a research on Midsize sedan for close to two years and we finally decided to get a Camry XLE V6. Went to the dealer, test drove an 04 Camry SE V6, an 03 Camry XLE V6 and during negotiation we saw the 04 Solara at the first time (in the dealer hall). We were mesmerized and immediately made an emotional decision, test drove it and bought it instead of the "grandpa" camry. It was a good deal too, SLE V6 fully loaded (non-nav) only $26,000 (1.5% above invoice). It was a steal! It was a showstopper too since everybody in the dealer watch as the car made its way out of the hallway. Salesman was very polite and not pushy at all (unlike next door Honda dealer).

Toyota Faulters - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Grant Waulters - June 10 - 10:00 amCar pulls to the left despite rotations and alignment. The 2.4L 4 coupled to 4spd automatic often is unsatisfactory when trying to get to speed from low speed cruising. Engine warning lights go on for no reason and stay on. This does not equate to lengendary Toyota quality. Standard radio and CD are garbage Seat is too high for over 6 foot male. Ride can be a tad harsh. Not a car Id recommend at the price. Breaks are average and often grab when car is cold.

Affordable Sport Luxury - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Vic Shaw - May 9 - 2:00 amA sporty reasonably priced two door sedan. Looks more expensive than sticker price, and worth every penny even for the base model. The quietest sedan Ive ever driven, even on a busy freeway. A true value find if you are looking for two door luxury. Did I say it looks and drives like a Lexus?

Nice, competent and stylish convertible - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By PCC - May 5 - 7:40 amBought previously owned (certified). Car drives/looks like the Lexus. I get lots comments from people mistaking it for the Lexus. I have noticed body shake/roll over rough roads but it is not uncontrolable. Better tires (V or Z- rated) make it more manageable. Its fun to drive, has lots of zip and still delivers around 25.5 mpg using regular/87 octane fuel (though the owners manual "recommends" 89 octane or higher). I usually put a tankfull of premium fuel once or twice a month. I only notice a slight difference in total performance (power & mileage). Overall, a very nice combination of great looks, excellent performance/handling and super reliability. Definitely would purchase again.

Best 4seater convertable yet - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Pamela Neirinckx - May 4 - 10:00 amVery sharp looking car, turns many heads, I love/owned the toyota camery and had to have the Solara. just traded in the 2001 Solara and would have kept it for longer had not the new style that resembles the Lexus come out. its a smooth luxury ride and very quick, reliable, safe, enjoyabe car that fits my five year old in the back, has lots of space and can be driven in winter
